Bedroom and Decor

Bedroom space can be a hard space to organize. With so much of your personal life here, it is sometimes hard to learn how to decorate and express yourself.

Start with some sort of a bulletin board, dry erase board, or other spot to write down all of your reminders. I took a metal clamp and hung it on the wall to attach paper and write down my daily to do list.

Utilize table space by converting a drawer into a nightstand. I found this beauty at a thrift shop, and I keep all of my cords and miscellaneous items in it. This leaves the entire surface for decorative items and pictures.

Always have a lamp. Lamps are great ways to add a cozy feeling to a room without taking up much space and still remaining functional.

Lastly, take an elaborate frame and turn it into a vanity tray for a pretty way to have things out that you use on a daily basis. I got this one at Goodwill.

That Tricky Closet Space

Possibly the most annoying space to organize is your closet. It sucks getting started, but trust me this is the most rewarding.
I walk into my closet every day and feel great because it's in order.

The key is to start small.
Get a hamper that you like to look at.
It seems trivial, but this is more important than you think.

Then it's time to organize your clothes. I like to put all of my scarves on one hanger. It saves a lot of space.

Use all of the space you have. Shoes can all go on a shelf (built in or store bought), and go from there. Once your clothes and shoes are in place, you'll find that organizing everything else will be much easier.

Finally, remember that everything has it's place. If there is room, try putting your jewelry, body and hair products, and laundry products in your closet too. This is the space for everything that shouldn't be visible to the public.
